Today, we’re taking a look at the Vaptio Cosmo kit, a device that bridges the gap between starter kits and more advanced devices. It’s been a busy year for Vaptio, having churned out a selection of great devices. From pod kits to mods and even a few influencer partnerships, they’re really upping their game this year.

Vaptio Cosmo is the perfect kit for former smokers or those who want a more compact kit for when they’re out on about. The airflow and wattage capabilities make it a step up from your standard vape pen, but it isn’t too complicated to ward off new vapers. Along with the intense flavour capabilities and size, this kit is really something to shout about.

Vaptio Cosmo First Impressions

Out of the box, the first thing you’re met with is the striking aluminium casing. Exceptionally pleasing to the eye was the blue colour and the only minor protrusions are the fire and arrow-shaped buttons. The curve on the Cosmo means it feels great in the hand and it’s ever so lightweight.

The USB port is located at the bottom of the device so it can stand up nicely while charging. With no little nooks or crannies to encourage leaking, this device looks to be built well.

Using your Vaptio Cosmo

Setting up the Cosmo is as easy as one, two, three. Fire up the mod using the USB charging cable, screw in the tank, push and twist off the cap and fill up the tank through the two good-sized slots. Wait 3-5 minutes for the coil to soak up your e-liquid and you’re good to go. 

Here’s the wattage breakdown:

To replace the coil, just unscrew the tank, remove the glass, take out the old coil, replace and refit the glass and tank. Easy peasy.

Pros

The thing that really sets this device apart from others in the market is its ability to deliver really crisp, fresh flavours. It takes the e-liquids you know and love to another level, bringing you juicy notes you didn’t know existed before now. It produces a nice amount of vapour but won’t make you feel like a faux cloud-chaser.

With the simple to use airflow means you can switch between MTL and DTL depending on your preference – simply grab the base of the tank and adjust to your heart’s content. Use the small holes on the side for a more restrictive vape, or open up the large slots on the sides for DTL. 

Customisation

With just enough adjustable features to keep you busy but not too many to overload your brain, using the Vaptio Cosmo couldn’t be simpler. Switch between low, medium and high-temperature settings using the arrow button, and tap the fire button five times to turn the device on and off.

Throughout the trial period, we didn’t encounter any leakage whatsoever. The vaporizer is tightly fitted and even after replacing coils, there wasn’t a rogue droplet in sight. 

In terms of battery life, the 1500mAh battery gives you more than a full day’s vaping from a full charge, which takes under half an hour to complete. 

It goes without saying that the size of this device is a major pro. It fits neatly in the palm of your hand or pocket and doesn’t weigh you down when you’re on the move. 

Cons

The only thing that was missing from this kit is a spare glass tube in case you’re a bit of a klutz and yours happens to take a tumble. However, with replacement tanks available, it’s not really a gamechanger.

Conclusion

Essentially, the Vaptio Cosmo is a starter kit, but it gives you a bit more bang for your buck. With the adjustable features, you feel like you’re hanging with the big boys but it’s so simple to use. 

If you’re looking for a really crisp and clean flavour, it absolutely delivers. The adjustable airflow, twist-top refill and decent battery life give it an edge over some of the pod devices taking over the market, and it would be perfect for a new vaper or even someone more experienced who are looking for a pocket-friendly device.
